Genetically Improved CUDA C++ Software
Genetic Programming (GP) may dramatically increase the performance of software written by domain experts. GP and autotuning are used to optimise and refactor legacy GPGPU C code for modern parallel graphics hardware and software. Speed ups of more than six times on recent nVidia GPU cards are reported compared to the original kernel on the same hardware.
متن کاملDetecting Deviating Behaviors Without Models
Deviation detection is a set of techniques that identify deviations from normative processes in real process executions. These diagnostics are used to derive recommendations for improving business processes. Existing detection techniques identify deviations either only on the process instance level or rely on a normative process model to locate deviating behavior on the event level. However, wh...
متن کاملsimCUDA: A C++ based CUDA Simulation Framework
The primary objective of this report is to develop a CUDA simulation framework (simCUDA) that effectively maps the existing application written in CUDA to be executed on top of standard multi-core CPU architectures. This is done by specifically annotating the application at the source level itself, and making the relevant changes required for the application to run in a similar and functionally...
متن کاملDetecting Abnormal Behaviors in Crowded Scenes
Situational awareness is a basic function of the human visual system, which is attracting a lot of research attention in machine vision and related research communities. There is an increasing demand for smarter video surveillance of public and private space using intelligent vision systems which can distinguish what is semantically meaningful to the human observer as ‘normal’ and ‘abnormal’ be...
متن کاملSyntactic Definitions of Undefined: On Defining the Undefined
In the A-calculus, there is a standard notion of what terms should be considered to be "undefined": the unsolvable terms. There are various equivalent characterisations of this property of terms. We attempt to find a similar notion for orthogonal term rewrite systems. We find that in general the properties of terms analogous to the various characterisations of solvabil-ity differ. We give two a...
